Plasterboard: our expertise

Plasterboard lets you transform an interior quickly and cleanly: creating a new bedroom with a partition, lowering a ceiling to fit spotlights, lining a wall to insulate it, or boxing in pipes and ducts.

We install metal frames onto which the boards are screwed, with or without insulation between the studs. Depending on the room, we use standard boards, moisture-resistant boards for bathrooms, or special boards for acoustics or fire protection.

The quality of the finish depends on the joints: tape, filler and sanding are done carefully for an even surface ready to paint. We can then follow on with plastering or other finishes if needed.

Materials and techniques

  • Standard boards: For most partitions and ceilings.
  • Moisture-resistant boards: For damp rooms.
  • Acoustic and fire-resistant boards: When the project calls for more acoustic comfort or fire protection.
  • Metal frames: Galvanised tracks and studs, with insulation between the studs if planned.

Materials are chosen case by case, after the visit, depending on the surface and your project.

Frequently asked questions

Are plasterboard partitions solid?

Yes, a well-built partition is stable. For heavy loads (furniture, television), reinforcements are built into the frame.

Can plasterboard be used in a bathroom?

Yes, with moisture-resistant boards and suitable protection in areas exposed to water.

Does a partition insulate against noise?

With insulation between the studs and a suitable frame, a partition clearly improves sound insulation between two rooms.

Is the finish ready to paint?

Yes, after jointing and sanding, the surfaces are ready for painting.

How long does it take to put up a partition?

It depends on the length, height and finishes. Installation is quick as it is a dry method; we set out the schedule in the quote.
