Pitched roofs
Roof covering, insulation and renovation of pitched roofs for houses and buildings.
Pitched roofs: our expertise
Your pitched roof has protected your house for decades, but slipped tiles, damaged underlay or poor insulation eventually make themselves felt: leaks, a cold attic, condensation.
Elite Building Group carries out full or partial renovation of pitched roofs: replacing the covering, fitting new underlay, counter-battens and battens, insulation, and junctions with chimneys, roof windows and gutters.
We work with different roofing materials depending on the style of the house and local requirements. Before any work, we check the condition of the roof structure and tell you what needs to be taken into account.

Materials and techniques
- Clay tiles: A classic on Belgian roofs, available in many models and colours.
- Concrete tiles: A robust alternative to clay tiles.
- Slates: Natural or fibre-cement, for a fine, understated look.
- Underlay: A breathable membrane that protects the insulation and roof structure.
Materials are chosen case by case, after the visit, depending on the surface and your project.

Why it matters
Energy
A poorly insulated roof lets a lot of heat escape; renovating it is the chance to insulate it.
Weatherproofing
A roof covering and underlay in good condition prevent leaks and protect the roof structure.
Appearance
A new roof changes the look of the house and matches the style of the neighbourhood.
Frequently asked questions
Can you insulate from inside or outside?
Both are possible. In a full renovation, external insulation (sarking) is worthwhile; otherwise the roof is insulated between and under the rafters from inside.
Do you also repair individual leaks?
Yes, we carry out localised repairs: broken tiles, flashings, chimney junctions.
Do I need permission to redo my roof?
A like-for-like renovation often does not, but a change of material, colour or shape may require approval. Check with your municipality.
How long does the work take?
It depends on the surface area and the scope of the work; the planned duration is stated in our quote.
Does the roof structure need replacing?
Not necessarily. We check its condition after stripping; only damaged parts are repaired or reinforced if needed.
